The CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will equip you with an extensive understanding of theoretical and practical understanding to design and implement early childhood programs, by analysing the emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs of children. This course is ideal for those wishing to undertake a leadership role in an early childhood and care setting. Upon successful completion, you will qualify to conceptualise and implement early childhood education and care programs. You will be job-ready with the tools to design and reflect upon curriculum in line with approved learning frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Practical Placement

Lead Institute offers and arranges practical placement opportunities at LEAD Childcare centres as the placement of choice.

Minimum of 240 hours of practical placement in a regulated education and care service.

Enrolment Requirements

  • Completion of at least Year 10 from an Australian secondary school or overseas equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment
  • Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • It is recommended that students have a prior understanding of the early childhood sector before studying a Diploma level qualification
