The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management is a widely focused course. The course reflects the roles of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. (As per BSB Business Services Training Package) Pathways INTO the qualification Candidates may enter the qualification through a number of entry points including:
• BSB40520 – Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or other relevant qualification.
OR
• With vocational experience but without formal supervision or management qualification.
However, Lead Institute has the following entry requirements:
• Learners will undertake a language, literacy and numeracy test prior to enrolment to determine what level of support you may need to assist you through your study program.
• This program has an entry requirement Reading, Writing and Comprehension level and/or (ACSF Level 4).
• Access to internet and basic computer skills for online learning and assessment activities & submission.
• Access to or own your own laptop/desktop computer.
Qualification Pathways
After achieving this qualification candidates may choose to undertake BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management or other Advanced Diploma qualifications. You may also be able to utilise the qualification for entry into Higher Educations Courses if you meet specific requirements.

Training Delivery
Blended (Classroom/Virtual Workshops + Online/Self-Paced Study)
There will be classroom-based/Virtual workshops sessions held throughout the delivery of the Qualification. These sessions will include face to face and online classroom training, facilitation, simulated scenarios, role plays and case studies in addition to self-paced study to be complete in participants own time.
Online (Self-Paced)
With our Self-Paced model, you can log in and complete your classes and assessments at a time that is convenient to you. If you get stuck or need additional guidance, your Trainer is available via Email, virtually (Zoom), Learning Portal and Phone, and they’ll help you get back on track.
Assessment Methods
All Lead Institute’s programs consist of both ‘Formative and Summative’ assessment, this is to help confirm the student is gaining the required skills and knowledge to meet the training package requirement.
• Formative Assessment – This assessment is completed throughout the Learning Journey
• Summative Assessment – This assessment is done at the end of the Learning Journey to confirm the required skills and knowledge have been met.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Fast track your way to a formal qualification by earning credit for the things you already know. Getting recognition for the skills you’ve gained from the workplace or previous learning means less study time for you and getting the Certificate to prove you are qualified a whole lot sooner. We can assess your skills, directly apply credits from previous successful study, and give you advanced standing in your course.

Completion
Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive a nationally recognised BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management. Students who do not complete all units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment for partial completion of the course.
